There were over 30 entries into this year’s Giveaway.  Ray Wilkinson has been the head custodian at Peacedale Elementary School for as long as anyone can remember. What he has done tirelessly for the students and teachers has been truly remarkable. Ray has been a coach for the Special Olympics for over 20 years. Ray spends most of his time working, caring for his family or donating his time to others that are in need. The 2009 recession has meant tough economic times for many people; DMP wants to help its local community by providing free services to a family struggling with financial burden. Close to 30 local business’ came together to make this Giveaway possible. In addition of DMP’s interior makeover totaling $7,500, Grandscapes, of Charlestown, Rhode Island has donated a new driveway, sod and plantings. Smithco Oil of Wakefield, RI has donated 150 gallons of heating oil. Hampton Inn has agreed to house the family while the work is being completed.
